A lot of times when you’re in a dark mental space, it can be hard to push yourself to do much of anything. This includes the basics. Getting up to shower, eating, brushing your teeth, combing your hair… quite literally anything. Depression can make it so that any task doesn’t seem worth it. That no one in your life really cares enough anyway, so why bother.
